"Where Hospitality Works! fosters partnerships and collaboration between employers, educational providers and the workforce development community to address the training, employment and other human resource interests of the Hospitality and Tourism industry in Southeast Michigan."
In July 2005, the State of Michigan Department of Energy, Labor and Growth (MDELEG) established Where Hospitality Works as the Hospitality and Tourism Regional Skills Alliance (RSA) in Southeast Michigan to address critical training and employment needs in the hospitality and tourism industry.
Since that time, Where Hospitality Works has partnered with industry employers and associations, educational institutions and Michigan Works Agencies. It provides hospitality-related training, employment and business services to entertainment, food, lodging and transportation businesses and employers. WHW service area includes businesses and employers in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, St.Clair, Livingston, Washtenaw and Monroe Counties.
